This week’s highlight is Suhas Ghante, a Partner at SVEthos, a fully-remote, premier enterprise sales consultancy specializing in bringing the Silicon Valley mindset to startups.
Icebreakers Q&A
Q: If you were a dog, what breed would you be?
A: Rough Collie. I love their elegant style and look.
Q: What character trait do you value in your coworkers and why?
A: Humility, willingness to help, and lightheartedness.
Q: Name one (or more!) hobby and why you like it.
A: I love cooking. Like super traditional cooking, especially using regional spices for ethnically authentic dishes.

Q: What are some things that people might misunderstand about you that you should clarify?
A: I do a lot of Vipassana meditation so people perceive me as being almost too chill and not acting with urgency. However, I am actually extremely detail-oriented and care intensely about doing things very well.
Q: What is your guilty pleasure TV show?
A: Watching S.N. Goenka (well-known Vipassana teacher) on YouTube for some life inspiration. And also Friends before they took it off Netflix :-(
A Brief Conversation
Can you tell us a bit more about SVEthos?
Suhas: SVEthos is a team of highly skilled sales consultants that help startups with lead gen, sales material creation, funnel optimization, and pricing strategy. Our team includes proven sales professionals and former startup founders who have deep experience in early-stage enterprise selling.
Is SVEthos a distributed/remote team? If so, what are some things that you do for team building and culture?
Suhas: We are a fully distributed team, and because of the nature of our work we travel to work on client sites, etc. We are heavy users of Slack - you can find someone Slack-ing everything from important customer updates to random memes at any point in the day. For team building and culture, we have daily "standups" on a project basis, and weekly team meeting via Zoom so people get at least some visual touch point with each other.
Whatt is one of the coolest things about working at Silicon Valley Thinking?
Suhas: One of our values is Trust in Each Other. We work hard, but also have complete flexibility to shape our own schedules too, which is amazing.
Final question — tell us more about your cooking?
Suhas: My specialty is Indian and Middle Eastern cooking. I enjoy playing around with all of the spices and creating authentic meals for people. Food is such an avenue for bringing people together!
